Your 5-Step Voting Plan
- Oct 10
- 2 min read
On October 8, ballots were mailed to all registered voters. Because this is an "off-cycle" election, turnout is expected to be low. But with your help, we can do better in LD3. Here's your to-do list for this upcoming election. Please accept this mission and do your part. It will take all of us.

Watch your mail. You should receive your ballot Friday or Saturday, but it could be early the following week. If you don't receive it by Wednesday, October 15, call the Recorder's office at 602-506-1511. Ballots are mailed in batches, so don't worry if your spouse or friend gets theirs before yours arrives.
Vote Yes! If you are on the east side of LD3, the only thing on your ballot will be Prop 409. If you missed the presentation about the importance of Valleywise Health at our last monthly meeting by Dr. Dawn Penich, watch here.
If you are on the west side of LD3, you'll vote yes for Prop 409, but you'll also have the West-MEC bond (Prop 403) and land sale (Prop 406) and the DVUSD M&O override and land sale on your ballot. Vote YES YES YES down your whole ballot. Thank you.

Seal and sign your envelope, and get it back in the mail ASAP. Your quick action will remove you from the list of voters we have to follow up with, reducing our workload as well as the cost of outreach.
Contact at least 3 local friends to encourage them to vote yes and return their ballots ASAP. You are welcome to use the link at the top of this newsletter to forward the whole thing. Please don't skip this step. Remember when I said that this election is expected to have a low turnout? Well, if we all reach out to other voters, we could defy expectations, and pass these important initiatives to improve our communities by a large margin. Let's do it! Thank you.
